Ingredients

  • 1 cup gfJules Nada Flour
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter unsalted, natural
  • 1/2 cup sweet potato puree or pumpkin puree may use canned pumpkin, but not pumpkin pie mix
  • 1 large egg or 3 Tablespoons aquafaba

Instructions

  •  Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two 11x17” baking pans with parchment paper.
  • Place the peanut butter, sweet potato, and egg in a large mixing bowl. Stir until combined. You can also beat the ingredients together with a mixer.
  • Stir in the NADA flour. Once most of the flour is stirred in, use your hands to knead the dough until all the flour is mixed in and a smooth dough forms.
  • Lightly flour a pastry mat or clean counter. Place the dough on the mat and flatten it slightly with the palm of your hand. Place a piece of parchment paper on top of the dough and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough until it is about 1/4” thick. (Alternatively, use a rolling pin sock to roll out the dough.)
  • Use a dog bone cookie cutter to cut dog biscuits out of the dough (or just cut into equal shapes). Transfer each dog biscuit onto the parchment-lined baking pans. Repeat the process of rolling out the dough and cutting out dog biscuits until all of the dough has been used up.
  • Bake the biscuits for 25-30 minutes. They should be browned on the bottoms and feel firm to the touch. Allow the biscuits to cool completely on the baking pans.
  • Store the cooled biscuits in an airtight container. They will last for 5-7 days at room temperature or up to 2 weeks in the fridge.

Notes

Grain Free Dog Treat with LabYou can adjust the crunchiness of the biscuits by how thick you roll out the dough. Rolling to a little less than 1/4" ensures a firm and crunchy biscuit that won't crumble in your pocket, but a thicker biscuit will make a softer treat.
