Talk about a recipe for awesomeness! Fifty years ago on November 22, all the best ingredients and circumstances came together and were perfectly blended into what many believe (present company included) was truly a heaven-sent angel. I hope you’ll take a minute to leave a comment on this fabulous ‘recipe’ that is Our Jules. I thought this recipe medium was appropriate, for our indefatigable recipe-writing, community-moderating, champion-of-all-Gluten-Free-Folks Jules. It doesn’t have to be long, but wish her well in this ‘different’ year where we couldn’t throw her a 50th Birthday Bash if she’d allowed it.

So give this inimitable concoction we call Jules your birthday-greeting/review in the comment box below. Thanks in advance!

INGREDIENTS:

Mix equal parts:

    • Love

    • Empathy

    • Morality

    • Endless Energy

I and my family are forever grateful for the day I found your site. We so appreciate you and all your creations which are our “go to” for any GF deliciousness. In fact I can’t wait to dig into my first gfJules apple pie I just made for a Thanksgiving celebration with our son. Wishing you at least as much love and special treats as you give to all of us!

  4. Happy 5-0, it looks great on you! Have a wonderful birthday with your family.
You were the first person I found on the internet after somewhat being diagnosed nine years ago. I have the DH form of Celiac and my dermatologist spent 3 months trying to figure out what was wrong with me. He said, “I think you have celiac and cannot eat gluten.” Neither of us knew what gluten or celiac was in 2011. I got on the computer and found you and you helped me understand it all. Many thanks from all of us celiacs and gluten-intolerant who appreciate your recipes every day of our lives.

  7. You’re the whole package: looks (self-evident), brains (successful busineswoman), and personality (you are so cute on your videos!), not to mention a husband who clearly adores you! Thank you for creating gluten-free recipes that work, and a flour mix that actually tastes good. I hope you have a very very happy 50th birthday!!!

  11. Jules,
May you have a happy birthday and a happy and healthy year.
I am not a baker and the only reason I began any baking was because my 10 year old daughter was diagnosed with Celiac disease and the thing she missed most was challah. Your flour, your recipe, and your personal responses to all my questions over the years have helped my daughter have wonderful challah. In fact, we now bake together! What started as a health challenge (and remains so) has turned into an opportunity to hang with my now 16 year old daughter. We have had lots of important conversations while braiding challahs over the past 6 years. No, we don’t make “Instagram” ready challahs. But they are delicious and such an important part of our life – both the process and the product.
May you know that your work and energy you put out into the world are appreciated and valued.
Again, I wish you all good things! Happy 50th!
    Sheryl

  13. Happy 50th Jules. I hope you have many more healthy, love-filled, productive years.

You’re a very special person who not only cares about her family but her gluten-free family/community as well.

I remember calling with a baking question and you not only answered my question but with a big heart listened to my story and my tears, You shared personal experiences with me and emailed me something that made me feel better and not so alone in this journey of living with celiac. 💖💖💖🥳🎈🎉🍰. You are a blessing to many and deserve all the blessings from above.
