Talk about a recipe for awesomeness! Fifty years ago on November 22, all the best ingredients and circumstances came together and were perfectly blended into what many believe (present company included) was truly a heaven-sent angel. I hope you’ll take a minute to leave a comment on this fabulous ‘recipe’ that is Our Jules. I thought this recipe medium was appropriate, for our indefatigable recipe-writing, community-moderating, champion-of-all-Gluten-Free-Folks Jules. It doesn’t have to be long, but wish her well in this ‘different’ year where we couldn’t throw her a 50th Birthday Bash if she’d allowed it.

So give this inimitable concoction we call Jules your birthday-greeting/review in the comment box below. Thanks in advance!

INGREDIENTS:

Mix equal parts:

    • Love

    • Empathy

    • Honesty

    • Intelligence

    • Ethics

    • Morality

    • Endless Energy

  8. Dearest Jules- Who knew GF flour doesn’t hv to taste like gritty rice paper, or blah cardboard. U did! Or who took the guessing game out of xantham gum & all the other stuff, allowing us to replace ur FAB flour in virtually ANY of our recipes at 1/1. U did!! All this allows our loved ones to still safely ENJOY breads, pies, cookies & the like…which makes them happier & easier to be around, & who doesn’t love that?!?! So, from the bottom of our hearts, we wish u a very FAB 50th Bday!!…thank you for being such a Blessing to us all, & we wish you a GRAND OL’ PARTAY as soon as things allow. Warmest GF Wishes, Ina & Jeffrey

  10. Happy Birthday!

I just want to add a thank you for your blog. To be honest, most of the time I just adapt a ‘regular’ recipe, but once in a while I will flip through the recipes links that I keep in their own folder in my inbox, and the results are always great. Thanks for all the wonderful gluten free recipes and the support you give to many just by having this collection.

  11. Incredible recipe! I am grateful to you for what you do. When I first learned that I had Celiac’s disease I was trying everything to find something that didn’t fall apart or taste like cardboard. When I came aross you cookbook, ‘Nearly Normal Cooking of GF Eating’, it was like someone turned on the lights. My favorite still. Use your flour recipe always, nothing better. Thank you again! Happy Birthday!!
