You know my blog is all about delicious gluten-free baking and treats for the whole family, but why shouldn’t that include our pets, too? Many of us are opting for gluten-free or even grain-free pet foods for our dogs and cats, either because they have food allergies or other health issues, or because we just simply don’t want to have the exposure to gluten as we handle their foods. Either way, these delicious 4 Ingredient Grain-Free Dog Treats are the perfect biscuit for you to make and for them to enjoy!
In fact, you can taste-test right along with them, as these are perfectly safe for human consumption!
Made with my new gfJules grain-free Nada Flour, it ensures that the treats are totally allergen-free (there’s an egg-free recipe option) and you don’t have to run around gathering several different flours — they’re all included in this blend already, in perfect proportion.
You’ll notice an elevated cute factor in these recipe photos, as I’ve enlisted a photographer with a dog to shoot these photos for the recipe.
Our family pup is no longer with us (our cats are not complaining!), but I wanted to assure my readers that these treats met with canine approval before sharing the recipe!
If you’re looking for a few more cute photos, you can always hop to my Gluten Free Teething Biscuits Recipe, where you’ll see my adorable nephew munching away on those biscuits. That recipe could also be grain-free by subbing in my Nada Flour as well.
I hope you and your pup enjoy this healthier grain-free, allergen-free Dog Treats Recipe … together!
Grain-Free Dog Treats Recipe

4 Ingredient Grain-Free Dog Treats Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup gfJules Nada Flour
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter unsalted, natural
- 1/2 cup sweet potato puree or pumpkin puree may use canned pumpkin, but not pumpkin pie mix
- 1 large egg or 3 Tablespoons aquafaba
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two 11x17” baking pans with parchment paper.
- Place the peanut butter, sweet potato, and egg in a large mixing bowl. Stir until combined. You can also beat the ingredients together with a mixer.
- Stir in the NADA flour. Once most of the flour is stirred in, use your hands to knead the dough until all the flour is mixed in and a smooth dough forms.
- Lightly flour a pastry mat or clean counter. Place the dough on the mat and flatten it slightly with the palm of your hand. Place a piece of parchment paper on top of the dough and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough until it is about 1/4” thick. (Alternatively, use a rolling pin sock to roll out the dough.)
- Use a dog bone cookie cutter to cut dog biscuits out of the dough (or just cut into equal shapes). Transfer each dog biscuit onto the parchment-lined baking pans. Repeat the process of rolling out the dough and cutting out dog biscuits until all of the dough has been used up.
- Bake the biscuits for 25-30 minutes. They should be browned on the bottoms and feel firm to the touch. Allow the biscuits to cool completely on the baking pans.
- Store the cooled biscuits in an airtight container. They will last for 5-7 days at room temperature or up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
