Gluten Free Apple Bread Recipe, anyone? ‘Tis the season for all things pumpkin, cranberry, apple, warm and spicy! You might have already seen my new post: Gluten Free Cranberry-Orange Quick Bread – Mmmmmm! Well this is another recipe where you’ll want to do the proverbial dog-ear (how do you do that on mobile?!).

My Gluten Free Apple Bread recipe is one of those “have it your way” recipes that you can spice up or down to suit your taste; you can also make the apples smooth and saucy so you barely notice them, or big and chunky so there’s no doubt this recipe is screaming “I love apple!”. And by the way, it is AH-mazing with my homemade apple butter recipe. You gotta try it.

I’ve partnered with Blendtec® to show you how versatile and yummy this gluten free apple bread can be, no matter how you choose to make it.

And yes, you can make it in a blender! How’s that for handy?

Whatever method you choose, it’s a far healthier than traditional oil-based quick breads like zucchini bread — in fact, there’s no oil at all! Use Greek yogurt or what I use — Silk Greek Style vegan coconut milk yogurt alternative. Click here to see a video of me using it in this recipe!

You can even sub out the sugar for unrefined coconut palm if you like. One reader said she even used Swerve with success in this recipe.

I told you this was a “have it your way” kind of recipe!

Slicing Gluten Free Apple Bread
This loaf of gluten free apple bread was made in the Blendtec for a smooth batter with no apple chunks.

I promise you’re going to love it any way you bake it — even as muffins (if that’s your way); heck, make it several times and make it different every time. Even the kind of apple you choose will influence the flavor.

The one thing you don’t want to do though is use the wrong gluten free flour. NO bean flours here. NO gritty brown rice flour. NO funky flour taste. Use my gfJules™ Gluten Free All Purpose Flour and everyone you share this recipe with will love it, gluten free or not.

You may have seen my eHow video showing you how to make this recipe using a standard mixer (if not, watch the video by clicking my photo above); here’s how to make this scrumptious quick bread even quicker using an amazingly versatile Blendtec® blender from start to finish! (note: an ordinary blender won’t be able to mix this batter as well)

    • Oops! I forgot to add why I’m gluten free–I’ve been diagnosed with non-celiac gluten sensitivity and hormonal imbalances leading to leaky gut and thyroid issues. And why I’d like a Blentec blender–my 35-year-old blender is on its last legs and can’t handle the kind of serious blending I’d like to be doing as I try new recipes to add to my GF lifestyle changes.

  1. The blender looks like it can walk through anything my big & busy family can throw at it!
I’m gf and the biggest challenge is taking care of my nutritional needs while being a good role model for my kids — sometimes it’s too easy to eat badly…

  2. Hi!~ I became intolerant to wheat, gluten, dairy & sugar after contracting Lyme Disease. Your recipes and your flours have been both a taste bud, as well as, a life saver!!! Thank you!!! I’ve had Lyme, plus an entire host of health problems, for almost 17 years now. My whole body and my bones ache! Most days, I am lucky to do just one thing…and that’s usually to cook/bake! This would make an AMAZING addition to my kitchen and would be of ENORMOUS help to my life!!! I would not be able to afford this on my own, sadly. As far as for both mine & my husbands bellies…I just KNOW it would be a household hit!!! Thank you! HAPPY Holidays to ALL!!!

  3. I love how creative you are. I would never have thought to create a delicious bread in a blender. I can’t wait to give this a try, I bet it is such a time saver to use a blender.

  6. After developing digestive problems, I discovered I was gluten-intolerant. I have fewer problems on a gluten-free diet. I still have to be vigilant in order to avoid soy, casein and eggs. I am a quadriplegic and my husband now does the cooking for us. He has osteo-arthritis so anything that simplifies the kitchen preparation, like this Blendtec blender, will be a big help for us! No question, gfJules flours are the absolute best on the market. Thank you from the bottom of my stomach, Jules, for all the time and effort you put into developing your products and recipes and for your generosity in sharing the recipes for free with the gluten-free community!

  8. After about 10 years of pain and many extra trips to the bathroom, I finally am gluten-free. Occasionally something gts snuck in and I pay dearly. Would love the Blendtec blender (I make my own ketchup and tomatoless sauces as well as other things) and my blender, just today, was making a low groaning noise. So, the Blendtec would really come at the right time. Merry Christmas and have a safe and healthy New Year.

  10. What a fun recipe! Great idea to make it in to muffins.
We are gluten free for my daughter who has celiac. I’ve been baking/cooking gluten free for over 5 years now. A blendtec blender is a dream item for me, I love trying my hand at different recipes and make my own nut butters, protein bites, etc and this will be perfect for it!

  12. I was diagnosed with celiac 9 years ago, in my freshman year of college. This was before GF was plastered everywhere so I was totally clueless. It took me a year to fully commit to a GF diet, after I wound up in the hospital severely malnourished and underweight. 8 years later I am proudly GF, but just now learning how to cook and bake as I’ve survived for so long on foods that were naturally GF. Your recipes and flour help me navigate the world of GF baking and cooking. The Blendtec would only help further my journey. Cheers!
