I don’t know about your list, but my holiday list has lots of people on it with various dietary restrictions: celiac, gluten sensitivity, vegan, soy-free, nut-free … but one thing I know for sure: everyone loves cookies!
The beauty behind making these cute gluten free cookie mixes in a jar is that when you start with allergen-free ingredients, the recipient is free to add eggs or not, use dairy-free milk or not, choose vegan butter or not. The cookies then turn out great, and suitable for all!

I’ve given you a couple good gluten free cookie mix recipes here, but feel free to get creative! The key is to start with quality ingredients that are already certified gluten-free and certified free of the Top 8 food allergens – that way you have nearly everyone covered. (Note that these mixes work great with egg substitutes and vegan butter and milk.)
I created gluten free cookie mix in jar labels for you, to help save time, but you could hand-write whatever you liked or use cute chalkboard labels or attach a printed recipe … it’s your gift, make it how you wanna!
With any recipe, layer the ingredients for the most visual impact. With the Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, for example, I even divided the gfJules™ flour ingredient in half and separated it for more layers.

How big a jar is needed for these recipes?
Hi Anne, the 16 ounce jars with regular or wide mouth is what I’ve used. The chocolate chip cookie requires a larger jar than does the sugar cookie (you could use a smaller jar for that one).

Hello there, I am looking to put this together for a friend In a quart jar, could I double the recipe for the sugar cookie mix and expect the same result, (a good tasting GF cookie?)
Hi Lynette, the sugar cookie recipe is easily doubled, yes. Check it out on the full gluten free sugar cookie recipe card and you can write your own directions for her there!
